Frequently asked questions

  • You may cancel a service up to 24 hours prior to the set time and date with no penalty. Services canceled the day of will be charged 50% and services canceled less than three hours before the set time will be charged in full. If the cancellation is due to an emergency, there may be no penalty fee. 

  • We accept cash, check or Zelle. 

  • We offer various options depending on the service requested. If paying with cash or check, the payment is given at the time of the service (i.e. before the walk). If paying with Zelle, we collect the payment right after (i.e. after the walk). There is also an option to go on a payment plan where you prepay a service (i.e. consistent walks 3 times a week; prepay all walks at once on the day of the first walk on a weekly basis). 

  • Absolutely! Although not mandatory for all of our services, we definitely recommend this option for dogs who need some adjustment time with new people. Meet and greets are mandatory for the following services: overnights, socialization, and daytime drop-ins that include medications/health treatments.  We do NOT charge a fee for the first meet and greet. 

  • No. We only require a waiver for socialization due to the risk of your dog being potentially attacked/attacking another dog. 

  • NO. We are NOT a veterinary practice and are NOT licensed veterinarians.  ALL MEDICATIONS ADMINISTERED BY SOFT PAWS CANINE ACADEMY ARE MEDICATIONS YOU AS A PET OWNER ADMINISTER YOURSELF IN YOUR OWN HOME WITHOUT THE NEED FOR PROFESSIONAL ASSISTANCE.

  • YES. Although we primarily care for dogs, we also provide special services for cats. 

  • Yes. Our primary focus would be the dogs however, if you have other pets in the house in need of caring during our stay, call to make a special request. *Please note: prices WILL adjust accordingly.

  • No.  Although we do our best to never cancel on our clients, life happens at times and in case of emergency, we may need to reschedule a service last minute. Should this ever happen, you will not be charged.

  • Yes. Although we cannot guarantee availability, we do our best to accommodate last-minute calls, especially in emergency situations.
